Bitmap image
A graphic image made up of fixed dots. As the image size is increased so the dot size gets bigger, making the image look coarse.
Bleed
Allowing the image or colour to run off the edge of the page, usually 3mm, so that when trimmed white lines at the edge of pages are avoided.
Clipping path
Method of 'cutting out' a digital image electronically from a background.
CMYK
Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and blacK: The four colours of ink used in full colour printing.
Die cutting
Cutting to shape of paper or board, i.e. folders.
